01 Your starting point
Choose a preset or enter a custom record count to load an editable sample and see your assessment.
Enter 1 to 100,000 records. Changing this reloads the default inputs and pricing for your record count. You can then edit the other values.
Gave in the past 12 months. The 20% starting value is an illustrative assumption, not M+R data.
Count donations, not people. Include repeat gifts and extra one-time gifts from monthly donors.
M+R 2026 starting benchmark: $139 (source: USD 139).
Distinct monthly donors at the start of the planning year. They may also make one-time gifts. Other inputs stay unchanged.
M+R 2026 starting benchmark: $28 (source: USD 28).
Allocated across five workflows using the model’s default proportions. Details are included in your report.
Automatically calculated from your record-count tier. Subscription only; transaction fees are separate. Pricing is available up to 100,000 records.
Estimated baseline annual online giving: $0 = $0 one-time + $0 monthly. All amounts are USD. Profiles combine separate M+R benchmarks with explicit assumptions; they are not observed organizations. Changing record count reloads all default inputs for the selected scenario. Other manual edits affect only the value you change. Default staff hours do not scale with list size. See sources and derivation.

A MODEL YOU CAN EXAMINE
Clear assumptions.
A useful starting point.
This calculator separates published donor benchmarks, illustrative improvement settings and your own activity plan.
They show what selected improvements could produce over the first 12 months. The illustrative planning case is not a forecast, a best estimate or a measured Escalator result. Research supports exploring the mechanisms; it does not establish these numerical outcome rates.
Program effects apply to three separate groups: prior one-time-only donors, existing monthly donors, and subscribers who did not donate in the preceding year. New participants receive one gift with no other uplift. Monthly converters are excluded from larger gifts; newly retained one-time donors receive no further uplift. Monthly retention credits recurring payments only. Larger-gift uplift can apply to their separate one-time donations, which are excluded from non-monthly retention and conversion receipts. Redeployment must use a separate audience from all three. Salaries and lifetime value are not added.
